Journey down the Romans Road.

The Romans Road.

For whatever reason, I don't think that I was ever taught the Romans Road. This past Sunday at my mom's girls bible study my friend taught all of the girls (me included) the verses to the Romans Road.
We were talking about the movie "God's Not Dead" and were each challenged that if we ever had the opportunity to share the good news with someone, could we do it?!
Challenging.
My challenge for you (yes, you--the one who is reading right this second) is to keep reading this blog post and watch "God's NOT Dead".

What is the Romans Road?
It is an amazing tool for Christians to lead others through Salvation, using only the book of Roman.
 {Now, that is only one way to lead someone to get saved.}

So whether you are Christian & want to learn this tool {Our mission in life as Christians are to teach others about Jesus and share the gospel with EVERYONE, so that they might be saved- Mark 16:15}, or if you are an unbeliever and want to learn about Jesus and how to be saved I want to take you on this journey down the Romans Road.

If you have a bible, grab yours and a highlighter.
If you don't have a bible, I am going to go through all of the verses here. (And then encourage you to buy a bible and explore it.)
These verses are from the NLT (New Living Translation).

Let's begin this journey.

1>>> Romans 3:23-
"For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard."
For all have sinned.
We ALL sin. We ALL fall short. Every single day.
There is no one without sin, no one besides Jesus.

2>>> Romans 3: 10-18-

As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
“Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
ruin and misery mark their ways,
 and the way of peace they do not know.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
What sin is.
NO ONE is good by themselves.

3>>> Romans 6:23-
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."
Wages of sin. The payment is death.
But God gives us a FREE gift.
We DON'T work for it. {Ephesians 2:8-9}

4>>> Romans 5:8-
"But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."
Jesus died for us.
He paid the price.
For every single one of us!

5>>> Romans 10:9-
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Confess that Jesus is your Lord & Savior.
Then you will be saved!!!

6>>> Romans 10:13-
"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Call on God.
This gift is for EVERYONE!!

7>>> Romans 5:1-
"Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us."
This is the results of being saved.
Peace. The kind of peace our world yearns for.

8>>> Romans 8:1-
"So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus Christ."
Salvation!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no condemnation, no hell.
We belong to Jesus.

9>>> Romans 8:38&39-
"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow---not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love."
Hallelujah, PRAISE THE LORD!
Eternal security.
We have nothing to worry about, our future is with God himself.

Those of you who are Christians already, I pray that you will have the opportunity to share the good news with someone in your life! This is such a great tool, requires only the Bible. When you get down to number 9, you can encourage the new believer to start reading the book of John.

Those of you who are new believers or just curious, I pray that this has helped you immensely. Having a relationship with Jesus is the best thing you can have, I promise. He will never leave you, nor forsake you {Deuteronomy 31:6}.
One of the books that you can start reading is the book of John.
New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, & then JOHN.
